Canada Post Strike and US Shipping update

Canada Post Strike

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers are on a rotating strike effective October 11, 2025.

Canada Post shipping options are available, including vacuum sealed untracked lettermail. Please be aware that the rotating strike may increase shipping times, or cause shipping delays. Also, be aware that since the strike is ongoing, strike action may switch to a labour strike at any point, without notice.

Purolator shipping options are available as an alternative to Canada Post. Please keep in mind that Purolator is for parcel shipping within Canada only, no lettermail options exist.  Additionally, Purolator does not currently offer shipping to remote locations, or P.O. Boxes.

US Shipping

US shipping has finally resumed!

Brine Dyeworks will be using "Chit Chats US Edge" to ship all US orders. Tiered shipping rates are offered based on parcel weights/ number of skeins:

0-300g, 1-2 skeins: $13 CAD

301-550g, 3-4 skeins: $19 CAD

551- 1050g, 5-8 skeins: $24 CAD

If you require shipping for an order larger than 1050g/ 8 skeins, please send me an email at hello@brinedyeworks.ca so I can sort something out for you!

Brine Dyeworks' yarns are spun in Canada, thus making them CUSMA compliant. You should not be charged any additional tariffs or fees on delivery! That said, this is all new to me, so please be patient with me if there are any hiccups while I figure this out.
