Order Fulfillment & Shipping

Order Fulfillment

Once you have placed your order, payment generally will be processed within 48 hours, at which point you should receive order confirmation via Shopify. If you are missing your order confirmation, please check your spam/junk folder, as sometimes these notices end up there.
All orders, domestic and international, are shipped through Canada Post.
Items will be shipped to the address listed on your order.  Please double check your address so that items are not misplaced.
Customers who place multiple orders can request combined shipping. Please contact me at hello@brinedyeworks.ca as soon as possible after ordering if you would like to combine shipping. 
Post Office drop-offs are generally done on Mondays and Fridays.
Usually in-stock orders will ship within 3-5 business days.
Dyed To Order items will ship within 3-5 business days following production.  Estimated production timelines are quoted on individual product listings. These quotes generally contain a bit of grace time, but in the event production is taking longer than anticipated, I will email you to let you know.



Please track your package through Canada Post and contact THEM directly if any issues arise.  Once packages are accepted by Canada Post, Brine Dyeworks cannot and does not assume any responsibility for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged items.  Brine Dyeworks cannot replace or refund any packages that have been confirmed as delivered.
In the event a package is returned to Brine Dyeworks because it has been “refused”, or deemed “undeliverable”, a refund will only be issued for the price of the items enclosed.  Shipping charges will not be refunded.


Calgary Area

I am currently offering a local pick-up option for the Calgary Area. Please select "Local Pick Up" at check-out. I will follow up on your order confirmation via email to set up a time for pick up and to make sure you know where to come and where your yarn will be.



For orders containing 1-2 full-sized skeins, I am pleased to offer a vacuum sealed shipping option for most bases. This option is untracked and ships as oversized letter mail. This is intended to reduce shipping costs for smaller orders, but please be aware, there is a risk when choosing untracked lettermail. Pricing follows Canada Post's oversized letter mail postage rates, with a small extra allowance added to cover shipping materials.

For orders containing more than 2 full-sized skeins, tracked shipping is available via Canada Post using the method selected at check out. An untracked option is not available if your order contains more than 2 full-sized skeins.


United States

All parcels are shipped via Canada Post, using the method selected at check out. At this time, I am not offering an untracked option for shipping.

A reduced rate, vacuum-sealed option is unfortunately not available for US customers at this time. As per USPS regulations, I am not able to send items other than paper as letter mail.

Although it is rare, there is the possibility that US orders will be charged duty or tax upon delivery. I am required by law to state the actual contents and costs on international customs forms.  Any additional fees or tariffs accrued in transit are the responsibility of the buyer. Please refer to your country's international mail policies if you need more information regarding import fees. 

**PLEASE NOTE: all prices on the website are shown in Canadian currency, including shipping charges. In most cases, Canada Post rates for small parcel are higher than what you would pay in the US.



Small Packet International surface is the most economical shipping option. Most destinations can be shipped to for under $15CAD. Please note that this option does not include tracking or insurance,  and can take several weeks to arrive. I can provide verification that your shipment was accepted by Canada Post, but will not be held responsible for what happens once they are accepted by Canada Post. If you need to be able to track your item, please select Expedited Parcel, Tracked Packet, or Xpresspost.

Additionally, duties, taxes, tariffs and import fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Please refer to your country's international mail policies if you need more information regarding import fees.
