Mohair Silk Lace is a beautiful, airy yarn that adds softness, warmth, and a delicate halo to knitted fabric. Whether used on its own or held double with another yarn, it creates garments with depth, texture, and a light, ethereal feel.

The combination of kid mohair and silk gives this base its signature glow. The fine halo softens colour transitions, creating a gently blended, almost hazy effect. While colourways may appear more muted than on other bases, the silk adds a subtle luminosity that brings richness and depth to the finished fabric.

This yarn is especially lovely for sweaters, shawls, and layering pieces, and pairs beautifully with other Brine Dyeworks bases, like BFL Fingering and BFL Sport/ DK for colourwork and texture. Please note that mohair can feel prickly for those with fibre sensitivities.
