Color In Film: Mini Skein Club

Color in filmmaking can affect us emotionally, psychologically and even physically, often without us becoming aware. The psychology behind all of this is completely fascinating to me, but seriously, the color palettes created for some movies are just visually stunning and make me want to dye all the yarn. And so, that's what I'm going to do!

Color In Film is a yarn club which combines my love of movies with my love of tonal and semi-solid yarns, and my love of mini skeins!

How this works:

Periodically, I will release a new palette, inspired by a still from one of my favourite movies. New palettes will be released approximately once a month, but really whenever I am feeling inspired to switch it up.

Each set will contain 6 x 20g mini skeins of 75/25 Merino Sock. Colorways will be tonal/ semi-solid and will match the palette (so not really mystery yarn). Existing colorways and those which have been previously featured in this club might make an appearance. 20g minis have approximately 93yds.

Sets will be dyed to order in small batches, which means it may take up to 2-3 weeks for your yarn to ship.

There is no subscription service for this club. But each set will be available for a good window of time, and new sets will be announced on here and on Instagram.

I think that's everything...

Oh, and I might endeavour to make the odd variegated colorway inspired by the featured palettes. They'll show up down below when they're available.
